Choose the East Loop on the county's Dorbrook brochure map. This is a lap around the farmed fields and athletic facilities on the north side of Route 537. It leaves out the West Loop, the natural-surface Egret Path and all facilities across the highway.
Use Dorbrook's main north-side entrance at 353 Route 537. The county lists 209 Route 537 East as an old address. Follow the public park drive to the mapped visitor parking beside the in-line rink and court area, north of the Visitor Center. Walk your bicycle out of the lot to the designated East Loop, yielding at vehicle interfaces. The map identifies parking but does not establish an individual space or surveyed entrance coordinate. Do not park on the highway, enter maintenance premises or use the south-side lots for this outing.
Follow the East Loop shown on the map around the agricultural field, passing the Polhemus House side and the park's eastern boundary before returning along the athletic-facility side. At connecting paths, remain on the named East Loop rather than adding the Mini Loop or West Loop. Stay on designated paved trail, walk any drive or parking crossing, and return to your starting connection. There is no need to cross Route 537 or ride along nearby roads. If work barriers block the lot, approach or loop, choose another outing rather than improvising a road or field-edge detour.
The brochure assigns 1.3 miles to the East Loop. Its 1.1-mile West Loop, 0.4-mile Mini Loop and park-wide paved totals describe different extents and are not added here. Your actual parking walk is additional. This is an advertised, rounded course length from a November 2020 map, not a new measurement or navigable GPS track.
The county expressly permits bicycles on the paved park trails. The map rates this loop easy and marks its accessibility-standard alignment, while describing rolling terrain and a standard allowing running slopes just over 6% and cross slopes just over 3%. Those are dated published criteria, not a current slope survey or a promise that the lap is level. Walk uncomfortable sections and give other visitors room. This draft covers ordinary pedal bicycles; current e-bike terms were not established.
Keep bicycles out of Challenger Playground and the Sprayground, including their associated walkways and patios. The supplemental rules distinguish those spaces from the bike-permitted trail. Court and rink use also have separate restrictions. Bring water; mapped restroom facilities do not guarantee current opening or operation.
The current profile reviewed October 17, 2026 listed a 7 a.m. opening, with closing at 7:30 p.m. through October 31, then 5:30 p.m. November 1–January 18 and 6 p.m. January 19–February 8. Choose daylight, check the current posted closing time and leave before gates close. Ordinary trail or parking charges were not explicitly established; program and rental charges are separate.
That profile lists rink and pickleball work around September 8–October 23, weather permitting, and a basketball reopening forecast of October 5. Neither forecast proves the work is finished or the full trail closed. The 2026–27 hunting document maps Dorbrook's South Tract, across Route 537, for archery October 26–November 13, 2026; it also states trails remain open unless otherwise noted. The selected north-side loop is outside that mapped hunting tract. Follow any newer local restrictions.
The two-page original brochure, one-page supplemental rules, hunting table and Dorbrook hunting map were visually reviewed. The profile was read before a later retrieval triggered a conservative access hold; it was not recovered through a copy. These are desktop sources, not a same-day path inspection.
Editorial draft complete with these limits. Fresh operating checks and browser/site review remain before publication.
