Reviewed 2026-10-23. Source review, not a field inspection or same-day all-clear. NPS specifically permits this two-mile return but warns about deteriorating pavement; wide tires and an initial tread check are appropriate. Its inconsistent elevation figures are not repeated as a flatness guarantee. Bikes prohibited on geyser boardwalks and unpaved continuation to Biscuit Basin. Leave bikes at racks to visit thermal features; ordinary pets prohibited. Daytime summer/fall use; seasonal roads and snow can prevent access. This is a source review, not a same-day inspection.
