Oakley, California · Up to 2 miles out and back · Paved creekside regional trail

Start: Cyprus / Cypress Staging Area public trail lot, Marsh Creek Trail Cypress Staging Area, East Cypress Road, Oakley, CA. Current district profile explicitly names Cyprus Staging Area; local road and map use Cypress spelling. Use that signed trail lot and walk onto the paved main path south of East Cypress Road. Do not substitute a business lot or cross Cypress Road to begin this southward outing.

Planning: Regional trail 5 a.m.–10 p.m. unless otherwise posted; staging gates may differ. Choose daylight. No staging-specific tariff established in reviewed owner text; posted parking terms govern. Yield to walkers and horses, keep right and announce passes. Retained district speed guidance is 15 mph maximum and 5 mph when passing, subject to signs. Helmet required under 18. This guide does not establish every connecting trail’s electric-device rules.

Access: Reviewed October 20, 2026: current owner profile supports this public staging area and developed paved course. No closure specific to the short south-of-Cypress course was identified there. The full district-alert body remains a retained earlier review, not a fresh clearance. Water, grit, seasonal flood barriers and current signs can prevent access.

Choose comfortable weather, bring water and check current signs before setting out. No parking-space pin, surveyed route or GPX is supplied.
