A selected outing on a documented improved bicycle path. Use the stated public start and course.

Start and parking

Start: Lake Atalanta Park public visitor parking, 500 East Walnut Street, Rogers, AR 72756.

The city trail map marks public parking in the lake visitor area by East Walnut Street. Use designated open ordinary visitor spaces and walk to the lake trail. This guide avoids the farther Railyard Bike Park start and its hillier approach; event reservations can affect parking.

Surface and effort

Paved designated lake-side trail with developed boardwalk/access transitions; natural mountain-bike zones excluded. Lake-side circuit has approach ramps and local rises. The wider park has substantial relief; this is not a flatness guarantee or the steep Railyard access course.

Crossings and shared use

Yield to walkers, slow at junctions and stop at road crossings. Do not bypass a trail barrier in traffic lanes. Yield to pedestrians, keep right, and slow at blind corners. Stop at barriers; never use a traffic-road detour to bypass a trail closure.

Hours, costs and access

Use daylight and current lake-park hours. Railyard Bike Park’s separate 6 a.m.–10 p.m. schedule is not substituted for every park gate. Follow posted ordinary park visitor terms; reserved facilities and events have separate conditions.

Reviewed 2026-10-22. The city’s 2024 map lists the 1.8-mile lake loop and separately identifies its paved circuit, parking and natural mountain-bike zones. Current city bicycle-park guidance describes the paved connection to the lake. A widely indexed flood-closure message is from May 2017, not a new October 2026 closure; its later repair pages are historical too. No same-day surface or flood clearance is claimed. Check current city alerts and all posted barriers. This is a source review, not a same-day inspection. Recheck the linked manager before travel.

Map and Directions

Use the named public start and its posted parking signs. The map reference identifies the facility or selected trail area; it is not a surveyed parking stall or navigable route line. Bicycle and e-bike rules can differ; only ordinary bicycle use is established unless noted.
