City lists a one-mile linear greenway and no main loop. This return does not sum park and neighborhood links or promise a closed circuit. The route connects toward Milton Roberts Community Center, but this outing stays on the designated park path. Holston River Park on Holston Hills Road is a different place.

Conservative selected distance cap; turn at half the listed return distance or earlier. Not a GPS measurement; parking walks are extra.

Surface and effort

Asphalt designated park greenway; natural trails, sports fields and traffic drives excluded. HILLS: city explicitly rates this greenway difficult. It is not a flat beginner loop. No surveyed maximum grade or assurance the short selection avoids the hardest slope; walk or turn back as needed.

Yield to walkers, slow for blind bends and stop at every street, driveway and parking crossing. Wet boardwalks, loose gravel, flooding, debris and ice can change suitability. Turn back rather than bypass a closure or enter motor traffic.

Hours, costs and access

City lists dawn to dusk with no trail lighting. Follow current signs, gates and event/work restrictions. No specific individual greenway-use fee established. Recreation-center activities and reservations may have separate charges.

Reviewed November 6, 2026. Public path access and bicycle use are supported by the cited sources. No same-day condition clearance or universal e-bike class permission is claimed. Follow current signs and manager notices.
