Source review: 2026-10-22. A dated source review does not guarantee current-day conditions.

A selected outing on a documented improved bicycle route. Follow the stated public start and course.

Start and parking

Start: Silver Strand State Beach public ocean-side Lot 3, Coronado, CA.

Use designated open ocean-side day-use parking under the state park’s vehicle fees and gate signs. Lot 3 provides the stated bay-side walk connection; do not drive onto the bay side or assume disability drop-off permission applies to every visitor.

Hours, costs and access

Use daylight and obey posted trail, park and parking hours. Follow current public visitor-parking terms; reserved activities and events have separate conditions.

Reviewed 2026-10-22. The park’s 2026 posted order specifically permits ordinary bicycles on paved bay-side multi-use trails and requires walking through Highway 75 tunnels. City describes the dedicated bikeway along Silver Strand; SANDAG separately shows the wider bay route remains a segmented project with construction elsewhere. No entire 24-mile bay circuit or Chula Vista construction clearance is claimed. Check current local controls. This is a source review, not a same-day inspection. Recheck the linked manager before travel.

Map and Directions

Use the named public start and its posted parking signs. The map reference identifies the facility or selected trail area; it is not a surveyed parking stall or navigable route line. Bicycle and e-bike rules can differ; only ordinary bicycle use is established unless noted.
